SoundFX RI Helping to Fight COVID-19

We're doing our part to combat COVID-19

At SoundFX, we have a unique ability to make custom things in our shops. We have decided that we are going to take those fabrication abilities and apply them to a critical need for personal protection equipment (PPE's) for our health care personnel and first responders. Read on to see how you can help us fight COVID-19...

Shifting production to face shields

The CNC machines that we'd typically use to build cabinets and speakers has been adjusted to produce large quantities of clear face shields, which have rapidly become essential protective gear. Teams in both our East Providence and West Warwick stores are working around the clock to produce approximately 800 shields per day.

Our face shields can be assembled in about 15 seconds on site with no tools needed and are durable, shatter proof and reusable (with proper sanitization and for single person use, of course). They can be stored and shipped flat so they are easy to manage and store. We have procured enough materials to make about 8000 units in this first production run. We are going to keep making them until the need is not there, we run out of materials or money.

Keep health care personnel and first responders safe!

Help us to continue producing face shields for those that need them...

We are fully committed to donating all these units to the people in need. We have contacted the appropriate authorities in many communities around our state and have met with overwhelming expressions of support, need and desperation.

To meet this overwhelming need, we are asking that you support our efforts by donating to our go fund me campaign. 100% of all donations will go directly to getting more materials so we can keep making the shields. All shields will be DONATED to the appropriate facilities.

To learn more about the work that we're doing and to pledge your suport, please visit our Go Fund Me page here. You can also follow production and donations on our Facebook page here.

We appreciate the love and support that we've received from the community and will continue to do what we can to help those on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19.
