JL Audio Amplifiers and Subwoofer Enclosures
Founded in 1975, JL Audio is a privately held American company committed to designing and manufacturing high-performance products for audio enthusiasts.
RD Amplifiers
The look is amazing, and the performance backs it up. Sleek and powerful, RD amplifiers offer outstanding amplifier performance and value. RD amplifiers employ JL Audio's exclusive NexD™ switching technologies to generate loads of power with exceptional efficiency, reducing current draw and heat. Each model features a modern, industrial design with a high performance look and finish. For ease of installation and making adjustments, all connections are placed along one side of the amplifier with the controls on top, concealed beneath a removable protective cover.
JD Amplifiers
Ready for a power up? JD amplifiers apply our core amplifier technologies and a generous feature set to deliver fantastic value. The amplifier section is 100% JL Audio, with our exclusive NexD™ switching technology for superior fidelity and efficiency. The latter reduces heat output, making the compact dimensions of the JD amplifiers possible.
XD Amplifiers
The amazing XDv2 amplifiers have become best-sellers because they are much more than just "small amplifiers". XDv2 amplifiers achieve efficiency exceeding 80%, meaning they produce far less heat and strain on your vehicle's electrical system than a conventional, large amplifier would generate. This efficiency advantage, combined with state-of-the-art microelectronic components, allows us to use very compact unitary cast alloy heat sinks. XDv2's also deploy our Advanced Thermal Rollback System to completely eliminate annoying thermal shut-down events. The end result is outstanding audio performance and reliability in a compact amplifier that is easy to install in the tightest spaces.
VXi Amplifiers
Reference-grade amplifiers with integrated DSP. VXi amplifiers combine JL Audio's advanced amplifier technology with a powerful digital signal processor, all within a compact and beautiful package that is easy to install and offers unprecedented tuning power and flexibility.
At the heart of each VXi amplifier is a triple-core AKM® DSP engine with a custom configuration. This powerful DSP not only enables powerful tuning capabilities, but it also helps to improve amplifier audio performance by acting as a master clock for the full-range audio amplifier sections. Further amplifier performance gains have been achieved via minimum loop area output designs, DirectFETsup>® output devices and closely coupled output capacitor banks. The result is a new level of Class D amplifier performance, with outstanding efficiency, reliable power delivery and world-class audio quality.

Custom Speaker Cabinet Design & Fabrication
SoundFX's in-house fabrication rooms provide you with high quality custom machined parts. This attention to craftsmanship and detail allows us to offer the highest quality installation available. Our subwoofer enclosures are designed in CAD (computer aided design), which allows us to visualize the piece and model it before it is built. Once the details are finalized, the enclosure is cut on a CNC machine for precision.
From custom made speaker adapters to precision aluminum brackets and eye-catching subwoofer enclosures, you can rest assured that your installation will be done right at SoundFX.
